the saddest of the year
calm as that second summer
little gate was reached at last
one sweetly solemn thought
as evening falls
thou unrelenting past
do the boys and girls still go
in the cloud-gray mornings
why so sad my lovely one?
from floor to ceiling
at dawn, he said
i had a dream and i awoke with it
