concrete poetry

stern cold man
sweet and strong
up and down he goes
i loved a woman
she burst fierce wine
and still they walked on
shadows lay along broadway
i had over-prepared the event
i said
among the smoke and fog of a december afternoon
when i go back to earth
could we but know
i am fevered
