broken heart poem

brother, i am fire
did you ever see an alligator
of sun nor stars
over the river they beckon to me
among the smoke and fog of a december afternoon
a blue-black nubian plucking oranges
the darkness
the poets tell
to some the fat gods
i love to steal awhile away
mysterious night
