sad poetry

from our hidden places
tell me less or tell me more
the little pitiful, worn, laughing faces
give me hunger
i wonder where you live
stern cold man
sweet with fern and rose
beautiful, tragical faces
above them all, looking down
who loves the rain
risen from the dead
