love poem

come down at dawn from windless hills
of sun nor stars
high-born race
just now
within my hand i hold
looking beyond
do you remember
when you come tonight
a poet, having taken the bridle off his tongue
still her gray rocks tower above the sea
who loves the rain
who is the runner in the skies
