sad love poem

i bid them all farewell
be in me as the eternal moods
when a deed is done for freedom
these hearts were woven of human joys and cares
the child who threw away leaf after leaf
i despise my friends more than you
did you ever hear of
like eagles on up high
the agony of having too much power
earth travails
uplifting, as the wind blew
before the solemn bronze saint
babylon-where i go dreaming
i love my life, but not too well
