religious poem

when i looked into your eyes
when i go back to earth
i have had one fear in my life
gloom
you are clear
now that i have cooled to you
simplicity
i am fevered
let a joy keep you
a sky that has never known sun, moon or stars
mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam
hang no wreath
up and down he goes
