thanksgiving poem

he's gone
two rows of cabbages
brief on a flying night
and so it goes
who loves the rain
i said
day is done
i am weary of being bitter and weary of being wise
up from the south at break of day
the earth keeps some vibration going
i gazed upon the glorious sky
