sad poetry

dark-eyed
in new york harbor
a little peach in the orchard grew
daughter, thou art come to die
we break the glass whose sacred wine
he's gone
in september
day is done
sadly speaking
green afternoon serene and bright
braided and woven
i make my shroud, but no one knows
