marriage poem

by the rude bridge
dear wife
i shake my hair in the wind of morning
he'd even have his joke
those black eyes i once so praised
looking beyond
she said
behold me, in my chiffon, gauze and tinsel
good woman
out of the window a sea of green trees
why then, must we see?
have we no shame?
