christmas poem

a gleam of gold in gloom and gray
the darkness
this is the ship of pearl
wrap the earth in cloudy weather
i shake my hair in the wind of morning
you are clear
a pen of steel
with the meek, brown eyes
never in all my life
a few more windy days
