pumpkin poem

in your flight
brief on a flying night
i saw the clouds among the hills
we lay
quietly, with reverance, in awe
since i have felt the sense of death
as a naked man i go
i am singing to you
in may
under a spreading chestnut tree
the snow whispers about me
