fall poetry

the dawn was apple-green
beautiful
i am a woman
along the banks
i saw the archangels in my apple-tree last night
blossoms of babies
what spiteful chance steals unawares
the hypocritic days
somewhere i read a strange, old, rusty tale
out of the sparkling sea
