child poem

he's gone
with joy and wonder
in his guarded tent
i gazed upon the glorious sky
among the mountains i wandered
long ago, in the young moonlight
for these white arms about my neck
the endless, foolish merriment of stars
let us plant
uplifting, as the wind blew
