poem for dad

i have to say good-night
i fill this cup
happiness
old wine to drink
a mile behind
star-dust and vaporous light
i am dying
our pleasant moments fly
but alas, just dreams
i saw the first pear
the sun is up
do you remember
the pale day drowses on the western steep
