math poem

i am dying
as evening falls
i said
splendid and terrible your love
looking beyond
why then, must we see?
to some the fat gods
it was many and many a year ago
weak-winged is song
what do i owe to you
a mist was driving down
gaily through the fields we danced
i am a woman
