anniversary poetry

do you remember
since i have felt the sense of death
out of me unworthy and unknown
so lost
stuff of the moon
i make my shroud, but no one knows
old wine to drink
i saw god. do you doubt it?
little gate was reached at last
stern cold man
dark-eyed
before the solemn bronze saint
