in his guarded tent
with joy and wonder
perhaps
i stood
she might have known it in the earlier spring
rose and amber was the sunset on the river
when i go back to earth
the light withdrawn
now for a brisk and cheerful fight
the rain was over, and the brilliant air
as a white candle
that year
